The HCS-PLIX provides a full-function, bidirectional, X-10 command gateway to the HCS-II. In combination with an X-10 TW-523 transceiver module, the HCS-PLIX power line interface couples the programmability of the Supervisory Controller with the ease of use of X-10 to create an extremely versatile, low-cost control system. Since X-10 uses household wiring for transmissions, there is no need to string cables to devices you want to control.
The HCS-PLIX is a small interface board which plugs onto the HCS-II Supervisory Controller’s expansion headers or any other daughterboard’s headers. It provides the HCS-II with a powerful 2 Way X-10 Interface.
All house codes can be controlled via simple program commands. The SC also maintains a state table with the current On/Off state of all 256 X10 codes. The state table is updated anytime your program changes an X10 module state or anytime X10 On/Off commands are received from another controller/transmitter. This allows your program to check if a given module is on or off and also allows you to program X10 macros which are triggered by a sent X10 code. The HCS-PLIX will also report when the AC power has failed allowing your program to take action when it fails and/or when it comes back on.
The X10 Palmpad or Keychain make great wireless controls for your HCS-II system when used with an X-10 wireless receiver.
The HCS-PLIX connects to your house wiring via a TW-523 X10 Powerline Interface. Users in countries with 220V/50Hz electrical systems must purchase a TW-7223 X10 Interface. We do not carry them. Numerous vendors specialize in 220V X10 devices.
NOTE! The HCS-PLIX requires XPRESS v3.60 or higher!
